We take our cuisine inspirations from around the world, and our wine list also spans the globe.  We'll introduce you to new foods and new wines, but only if you want to experiment.  If not, we have familiar choices that are always available.

We markup most bottles to a maximum of $15 over cost, the exceptions being wines-by-the-glass (a little higher).  This low markup allows you to try wines that otherwise might be out of reach if a conventional restaurant pricing structure was used.

To discover new wines, we attend in the neighborhood of 50 trade tastings and wine festivals each year, take wine education courses, travel to wine regions, read a lot, and drink a lot with other wine geeks!  Our staff taste our new wines, take wine quizzes built around the wine list, and we have put most of our managers, senior servers and bartenders through WSET (Wine and Spirits Education Trust) Level 1 courses, and some through WSET Level 2. 

The Vancouver Playhouse International Wine Festival has awarded our wine program two Bronze then two Silver Awards over the past 4 years (2007-2010).
