Seymour Golf’s Charitable Involvement

As well as being a community of members, Seymour is active in the greater community of North Vancouver, the North Shore, and the Lower Mainland.

Seymour members give up play on their course for two major fundraising tournaments each year:

  • the annual Seymour Charity Tournament;
  • the annual North Shore Community Foundation Golf Tournament, where North Shore businesses, residents and volunteers get together to raise funds for North Shore service organizations  www.nscommunityfoundation.com

We also support local fundraising events with green fee donations for silent auctions so that North Shore schools and community groups can fund programs which make our lives and the lives of our families that much richer.

Apply for funding

The following are the requirements for applicants to Seymour Golf & Country Club’s annual Charity Invitational Golf Tournament in July of each year.  The next tournament is scheduled for 2023.

PLEASE APPLY IN SEPTEMBER 2022 FOR THE 2023 EVENT.

Charities must be:

  • A registered Canadian Charity

The applications must include:

  • The organization’s CRA charitable registration number
  • A description of the organization and its staff
  • A description of the project requiring funding
  • The project budget
  • Financial statements for the last complete fiscal year
  • Operating budget for the current fiscal year
  • List of Board of Directors and their affiliation

The applications will be selected on their ability to meet the following criteria:

  • Community need
  • Size and viability of the project to be funded
  • Part of the Lower Mainland community with preference for North Shore involvement
