Golf Background

I was introduced to golf at the age of 10 and grasped an immediate love for the game. After competing in Provincial and National Junior events with great success I was fortunate enough to secure a golf scholarship at Lon Morris College (Texas). After transferring to Phillips University (Oklahoma) to finish my Bachelor of Business Administration degree and college golf career I turned professional in 2003. As a professional I continue to compete in Provincial and National level tournaments. I enjoy working closely with the Seymour Junior-Junior program, and also the North Shore Golf Society program which introduces young kids to golf who might not otherwise have an opportunity to play the game. Previous to joining the Seymour Team in 2007, I was the Head Professional/Club Manager at Seven Hills Golf and Country Club.

Teaching Philosophy

  • Make the learning environment comfortable and fun with simple swing concepts.
  • Build strong basic fundamentals such as the grip, set-up, alignment, and posture.
  • Every individual has different capabilities, and we will build a game that best suits you and those abilities.

Common areas where Amateurs can most improve

  • Pitching, Chipping, Sand Play, Putting = SHORT GAME
  • Not practicing effectively and efficiently. Too much time spent on the driving range rather than practicing putting and chipping, which account for nearly half your shots on the course.
  • On-course decision making. Course management is a major area where Amateurs can improve their game, just by “thinking” their way around the course, and not attempting shots they are incapable of making. Play shots you are comfortable with and know you can make!

My wife and I have both benefitted and enjoyed Lenny’s instruction. He simplified the golf swing for us, and the follow up emails with lesson points are invaluable. Chris and Wilda Agassiz

I’ve been taking lessons from Lenny for the past year. The pace of the teaching has been perfect for my age and ability, with good progress made. We’ve started on the concepts of course management, which is opening up a new perspective on how I’ll be able to manage a game to my playing ability. Patience and clarity of instruction have been great. Stan Cowdell

Lenny’s advice was easy to understand and provided immediate results. He identified specific problems and improved my understanding of the underlying fundamentals of the issues. Lenny’s lessons always provided me with take-aways that improved my game. Tim Duholke
